 Our Proposed Programme

January 2021

 • EIA Scoping Request submitted to the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit, setting out the scope of the EIA surveys to be undertaken.

 

April 2021

 • EIA Scoping Opinion received from the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit, setting out the scope of the EIA surveys to be undertaken.

 

Summer / Autumn 2021

 • EIA surveys ongoing on site in accordance with the latest Scottish Government COVID-19 restrictions.

 • Ongoing design evolution and environmental assessment process to optimise the design to achieve balance between site performance and environmental effects. As well as to identify measures to eliminate, avoid, reduce or mitigate any potentially significant effects where possible.

 

Winter 2021

 • First public information event hosted introducing the project to the community.


Spring / Summer 2022

 • Further public consultation events held both in the local community and online.

 • Environmental Impact Assessment surveys completed.

January 2025

 • Section 36 application for West Torrisdale Wind Farm submitted to Scottish Government.

 • Formal public consultation period opens as soon as Section 36 application is live.

February 2025

• Public consultation event to be held in Carradale.

Summer/Autumn 2025

• Argyll & Bute Council to determine whether to object, or not object, to the Section 36 application

 • Should the Council determine to object, a Public Inquiry would be held (likely 2026) to inform a final decision on the application to be made by the Scottish Ministers (likely 2027)

 • Should the Council determine not to object, a final decision on the application would be made by the Scottish Ministers (likely early 2026)
