Ultra-Rapid Charge your EV with ESB Energy
ESB Energy is rolling out ultra-rapid chargers (300kW) across Great Britain. The first of these Ultra-Rapid Charger Hubs can be found at:
- Paisley, Scotland (4 x 300kW chargers/ 8x charging bays)
- Oakham, Rutland, East Midlands (2x 300kW chargers / 4x charging bays)
- Freemans Parc, Cardiff (3x 300kW chargers / 6x charging bays)
- Glenrothes, Fife, Scotland (3x 300kW chargers / 6x charging bays)
To find our ultra-rapid chargers, check out our charge point map or download the EV Plug In app. More sites will be added in the coming months.
Locations have been strategically selected along major motorway routes to allow for even more efficient in-trip charging. The new sites are part of ESB Energy’s strategy in Great Britain, which aims to deploy a nationwide network of rapid and ultra-rapid charging hubs at convenient and attractive locations that serve EV drivers reliable, clean and affordable on-the-go EV charging.
These are the first of many ultra-rapid charging hubs that ESB Energy will deploy as part of its continued expansion across Great Britain.
These chargers will have contactless payment available in the coming months. In the meantime, drivers can sign up to a PAYG or Membership plan or charge via a one-time payment using the EV Plug In App.
Note: We have added QR codes on our ultra rapid chargers in Oakham & Cardiff where you can scan the QR code above the connector in order to start a charge. We will be adding QR codes to our Glenrothes location in the coming weeks.
We will let you know when contactless payment is available in advance.
