Your estimated annual consumption is how many units the industry estimates you will use over a year period based on your average daily usage.
This figure is used to calculate your fixed direct debit and create your monthly Direct Debit amount. Your estimated annual consumption is always printed on your bill which can be viewed on your online customer portal.
This is just our latest offer we can give whilst you are still within your current contract.
49 days before the end of your tariff we will send you your end of contract offer with the best tariff available to you. The prices may be somewhat higher or lower between then and now and renewing early protects you from any energy price rises in the upcoming months.
This projection is based on your estimated annual usage, which we calculated based on either information you gave us or what we know about your property. Through the course of the year based on the meter reads we have received from you, your consumption turned out to be somewhat higher. If you have any credits, or debits on your account they will also be included in this projection. Your new direct debit information for the tariff you are being offered now has been calculated based on this latest information we have and does not include any debit or credit balance on your account , it is solely based on you annual projection .However when we complete a 6 monthly Direct Debit review on your account this calculation will include any debit balance and will calculate a higher DD amount if you’re consuming more than originally projected . But pound for pound value your tariff rates are cheaper.
Our loyalty offer is valid for 1 week from the time you received the email. That is due to the fact that the wholesale market is constantly changing, and we can’t secure rates for any longer than that.
If this time has elapsed unfortunately, we cannot offer you another loyalty tariff.
We will send you an updated offer with your end of contract email 42 days before the end of your current contract ending.
With any new agreement with ESB energy you have a 14-day cooling period from the time you accepted the new tariff. If you change your mind after the 14 day cooling off period you will need to pay any exit fees that form conditions of your tariff.
Your new tariff will come into effect the day after your current tariff ends. You will remain on your current tariff until your contract end date.

You fixed your rates when energy prices were particularly low last year, over the last several months wholesale prices have increased which affects retail energy prices. As a result the price of your energy has increased compared to your last Fixed Tariff but they are still great value for the current energy market.
